Find out moreI’ve experienced first-hand the challenges families and carers face when a loved one is living with a dementia diagnosis. As a carer for my dear wife Mary, and an advocate for my late sister and brother-in-law, I understand the many practical, medical and emotional decisions that must be made.
You frequently feel isolated and forced into heart-wrenching decisions. At Unique Minds, the charity founded in their memory, we believe there is real reason for hope.
We’re on an exciting journey to open a dedicated dementia support centre for families and carers across the West Midlands and Worcestershire. Right now we’re searching for the right home: a welcoming, accessible building with room to grow.
Our vision is a warm, friendly space where people living with dementia and their carers can walk in, join activities, and access our free Wayfinder service, with the potential to offer more support, such as daycare and respite, in the future. We’ll share more news, including location and opening plans, as soon as we can.
